I visited 3 schools today at MICA's international portfolio day. Chicago, Corchorin, and of course MICA. Each review went well, the lines were grueling but worth the wait. I was really lucky because i was able to sit with one of the people on the panel for scolarships at MICA. And she basically told me that this will bring big money in scholarships. So I am pleased with the results, but its no time to relax I have more work to complete and an artist statement to write! So wish me luck!

Creating an identity requires the fortitude to ignore the expectations and demands society. We live in a world where there is a constant pressure to satisfy and fill certain roles. This becomes more noticable as we mature to adolescence and young adulthood. For example, work may require obediance and motivation, while close freinds may prefer the raunchy smart mouth. These different aspects of our lives put demands on us to shape our behaviour to help them feel more comfortable. The constant tuggin nature of multiple social groups pulling us in different directions may leave some people feeling hollow. A portion of my work is a representation
